Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actor. She has also directed films like Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Born into an upper middle-class family in Los Angeles and had big hopes for the future. The idea of instilling a love for films in her daughter was something that was a gift from her mother, who also loved watching movies. Paula took part in numerous co-curricular activities in school and had particular passion for dramatics. She was a huge fan of acting alongside her peers and was a participant in school's stage shows. She was a part of numerous high school plays at Hamilton Magnet Arts High School and then decided to pursue acting as her career. She was enrolled in at the University of Southern Cal's Summer program and enjoyed the experience to death. The program offered her a three-month contract to make documentaries on PBS. She began her career as a television production assistant after completing this assignment. Following the completion of her project, she started producing documentary films. While she enjoyed her job, she still wanted to become an actor. She began her acting career through a tiny role in the romantic comedy film Hitch with Will Smith. She has appeared since in many films and TV shows.
